HK Vollmer conversions
1 Attachment(s)
Does anybody remember these? Back in the late 80's Vollmer was licenced to convert HK semi auto firearms to full auto and sell them to class 3 licence holders. Vollmers quality was impeccable, making a great firearm even better.
Thier customers were mainly law enforcement and security agencies, we'll just leave it at that. I was woolgathering and found an example for sale with a pic, this was probably one of the flat out nastiest firearms ever made: HK / Vollmer HK-51B View Product Images HK / Vollmer HK-51B HK / Vollmer HK-51B HK / Vollmer HK-51B Price: $24,300.00 Availability: in stock Prod. Code: HA 102 Just is one of the meanest guns out there. Vollmer conversion with Reg SEAR. Beltfed HK 51 in .308. This gun is like new, it's been sitting in a closet since being converted. This is not for the timid, lots of fire power in a small package. In stock ready to transfer. Attachment 68553 This is one of the reasons an original pre ban HK costs a lot of frn's, its hard to say how many were lost, stolen and dumped, or converted. That nasty little belt fed in the pic was once a nice, friendly semi auto '91!:36_1_25: I thought this tidbit deserved its own thread. |

That would be a fun shooter.

Re: HK Vollmer conversions
Yah, I remember Vollmer. He was buying anything auto or at least easily convertible and paying reasonable market prices, if I recall correctly. Prices today for select fire weaponry is astronomical...and relegated to the wealthy collector only.

Re: HK Vollmer conversions
I certainly remember FJ Vollmer...
He had a recurring ad in CoinWorld back in the 1970's...It read something like "We take trades...Coins, Guns, Boats, but NO mothers-in-law.... Vollmer's also had one of the first simple BBS machine gun boards on the internet back in the mid 1990's...This was before they went out of business... |
